BRISTOL, Tenn. -- Joe Gibbs Racing has called a 2 p.m. Monday news conference to introduce Joey Logano as the full-time driver of the No. 20 next season, according to a racing source.
The 18-year-old phenom will replace Tony Stewart, who will be a driver-owner at Stewart-Haas Racing in 2009.
The move has long been anticipated, and the only thing that was uncertain was when it would be announced.
Logano is expected to make his Sprint Cup debut at Richmond in three weeks.
Logano, who made his debut this season on the Nationwide Series, has three top-five finishes -- including a victory in the Meijer 300 in June -- in nine starts.
