"Inside MMA" poll results: How far will Brock Lesnar go in the UFC?

After a dominate three-round decision victory over Heath Herring, many in the MMA community wondered aloud how far bullish UFC heavyweight Brock Lesnar could go in the sport.
The results of our most recent MMAjunkie.com poll were released on last night's edition of "Inside MMA," and the results were overwhelmingly positive for the WWE-import.
When the votes were tallied, 45 percent of the respondents felt Lesnar was a future UFC champion. An additional 42 percent felt the 31-year-old was a possible contender for the belt.
"Inside MMA' host Bas Rutten agreed that Lesnar could continue to make waves in the UFC.
"If [Lesnar] has a good game plan, … takes you down gets high side-mount and starts reigning down elbows, (then) he's going to be very hard to beat," Rutten said. "Don't open up too much so they can submit you. Just stay close on your opponent, bam, bam, bam, elbow -- a la Tito Ortiz-style -- and that should be the trick."
A mere seven percent of voters felt Lesnar was simply a run-of-the-mill heavyweight, while six percent predicted he would soon be a UFC washout.
