Cards' Berry suffers groin tear
September 25
East Valley Tribune
"Bertrand Berry has suffered a torn groin muscle, coach Ken Whisenhunt said Thursday morning.
The defensive end/linebacker, whose career with the Cardinals has been slowed by a series of injuries, has returned to the Valley and will miss Sunday's game at the New York Jets. The Cardinals don't know how long he'll be out.
The Cardinals now will put their new depth to the test. They'll rotate three players in the two pass-rushing outside linebacker spots: Travis LaBoy, who will continue to start at Berry's spot; plus Chike Okeafor and Clark Haggans.
Berry and the Cardinals at first thought the injury was minor. He came out of the Cardinals' loss Sunday at the Washington Redskins but later returned to action."
