After enjoying his fourth three-touchdown game of the season and fifth 300-yard performance of his career, Chargers quarterback Philip Rivers is up for FedEx Air Players of the Week Honors.

Rivers completed 18-of-27 throws Sunday for 306 yards with three touchdowns and no interceptions en route to a 30-10 victory over the New England Patriots.
After six weeks, Rivers is the NFL’s highest-rated passer (109.4) He has completed a solid 102-of-165 (.618) for 1,489 yards with 14 TDs and only four INTs for the season. Sunday’s win allowed Rivers to improve his career record at home to 17-2.
Rivers took home FedEx honors following his Week 3 performance against the Jets. Should he win again this week, FedEx will make another $1,000 donation in Rivers’ name to the local Safe Kids USA coalition in San Diego to help fund child and pedestrian safety around the city.
